For over 35 years, Gary Masales has been a shining star in sales. Gary, a Canadian from the province of Ontario, excelled in the telecommunications industry where he specialized in the sale of technical data networking products. His flourishing career led him and his wife Dianne to the U.S. for the first time in 1984 when they moved to Detroit, Michigan and eventually brought them to Atlanta, Georgia. From Atlanta, Gary commuted throughout the Southeast and the Caribbean selling telecommunications products to many of the Fortune 500 companies. He enjoyed developing sales relationships with a wide variety of people and cultures especially in the Caribbean.
After visiting Hilton Head Island on vacation, the Masales purchased a boat slip in Windmill Harbour. On long weekends, they loved boating the island's many waterways and also developed an interest in both biking and golfing. They soon found they just couldn't stay away from the Island for very long. The vacations became more and more frequent and each visit seemed to stretch longer. Yet it still wasn't enough. They finally made the Island their primary residence in June 1995.
After taking a year off following his early retirement from the telecommunications industry, Gary knew it was time to get back into sales. Nothing appealed to him more than his beautiful new home on Hilton Head Island. So he put his vast sales expertise to work in the real estate industry. Gary says the same sales principles apply whether relating to telecommunications or real estate. As I had learned in the telecommunications industry, I treat prospective clients with honesty and integrity, let the product sell itself. I strive to answer questions, provide clarification of any concerns and make sure that my clients feel comfortable with their decisions.
Understanding the need for continuing education in this rapidly changing real estate market, Gary has now completed his Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council (REBAC) Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) Designation Course and successfully passed the final examination.
